Privacy Policy

Who we are

The Portsmouth Property Association (PPA) is a members association of property professionals in the Portsmouth area.   The PPA promotes and maintains the highest professional ethics and integrity amongst its members in the property services industry. Our role and functions have also widened to provide additional benefits to our members such as on-going networking opportunities, CPD training and social events.  For more information see our About page.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information such as:  your name, email address, telephone number and job related information such as place of work, type of work, company information etc.

This information is collected when you register to join the PPA. All of our processing of your personal information is based on your consent.

From time to time we may take photographs at events for promotional use on our website and social media. If you do not consent to be photographed please inform an PPA committee member at the event.

If you provide your business card to sponsors at events, this information is not passed on to us.

How will we use your information?

We collect your information to keep a record of members and to send information about future events organised by us. The list of our members is also available for anybody to view on our website.

Except as stated above, we will not pass your information to third parties unless legally obliged to do so.

We do not transfer personal data outside of the United Kingdom.

Marketing

When you register to join the PPA we will ask you if you would like to opt in to receive marketing emails from the PPA. We would like to send you details of upcoming events which may be of interest to you.

You have the right to withdraw your consent to receiving marketing emails from us at any time. This is included at the bottom of each marketing email, or you can email us here.

How long will we keep your information?

We will keep your information for as long as you remain a member of the PPA. If you cease to be a member for any reason, we will keep your information for 12 months after your membership has ended.

Access to information and correction

ask for a copy of personal data that we hold about you;

request that we delete personal data held on you;

ask us to update / correct any out-of-date or incorrect personal data that we hold about you;
