PLANETS help patients with pancreatic, liver, colorectal, oesophageal, stomach and neuroendocrine cancer by funding patient support groups, innovative treatments and research.
Layla Stephen set up the charity in 2011, following her own cancer diagnosis ten years ago. At this time, she felt there was little local provision of support for cancer patients and her surgeon encouraged and supported her quest.
In the last 8 years, the charity has raised £1,000,000 for specialist cancer services for those affected living in Hampshire, Wiltshire, IOW, The Channel Island and West Sussex.
PPA Chairman, Chris Green, chose to support this charity as a close friend and PPA member, is currently receiving cancer care and support from its staff.
