Dynamite teamwork

A recruitment specialist in Hampshire has taken the honours in the PPA-sponsored Team of the Year category at The News’ annual Business Excellence Awards.

Havant-based Dynamite, set up just 30 months ago, lived up to its name by winning the hotly-contested award – and secured a hat-trick with Overall Business of the Year and Small/Medium Business of the Year.

It is the second year in a row that the PPA has sponsored the teamwork category, with DCS Group runner-up and Verisona Law highly commended this time around.

The black-tie event for 200 people was held at Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday, 31st January, with the PPA hosting a table for 10 businessmen and women.

PPA secretary Neil Hawkins, who attended, said: “It was another entertaining ceremony, showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit which flows strongly through the commercial veins of the Portsmouth region.

“Dynamite, led by managing director Matt Fox, is a shining example of a firm pulling together to overcome challenges, making the company the success it is through passion and performance.”

Mark Waldron, Editor, The News, said: “The News would like to extend its thanks and gratitude to the PPA for once again sponsoring the Team of the Year award.”

Meanwhile more than 200 people are due to attend the PPA’s black-tie annual dinner on Friday, 28th
February, at Fratton Park stadium, Portsmouth.

The PPA now has 150 members, including estate, lettings and property management agents, commercial
property agents, chartered surveyors, accountants, solicitors and bankers.

It is chaired by Louisa Fairhall, who runs Gosport-based estate agency and lettings company Fairhalls.

PPA was established in 1920, when King George V reigned, Lloyd George was Prime Minister and the body of The Unknown Warrior from the First World War arrived from France for symbolic burial in Westminster Abbey.
