Bio on Patrick Scanlon:

Patrick Scanlon is a Senior Director of Market Analytics at CoStar with over 20 years of experience researching, analysing and writing about commercial property. He is based in the London office and covers the London and the South of England markets.

Previously, Patrick worked as the UK Offices research lead at Avison Young, before which he was Head of UK Offices research at Cushman & Wakefield. He also spent 13 years at Knight Frank where he was Head of Central London offices research. Patrick has produced research and analysis for some of the UK’s largest landlords, investors and occupiers. He has also advised the Prime Minister on policy for the development of London’s tech clusters.

He is a graduate of the University of Surrey and is a member of the Society of Property Researchers.

 

Bio on Andrew Holder:

Andrew has been Agent for Central Southern England since December 2015, having joined the Agency as Deputy Agent in August 2008. He joined the Bank in 2001, working in Head Office roles that included writing parts of the Bank’s quarterly Inflation Report, working with Chris Allsopp on his review of statistics for economic policymaking, and finally as Research Adviser to Andrew Sentance on the Monetary Policy Committee.

Andrew studied Economics at King’s College, Cambridge and the London School of Economics. He started his career as an economist working in HM Treasury, where at various times he worked on monetary, fiscal and environmental policies.

Andrew lives with his family near Winchester, where he tries to eke out enough spare time to play viola in the Winchester Symphony Orchestra

 

Bio on George Long:

George is a Director and Head of Land & New Homes at Charters and covers the whole of Hampshire and Surrey including our new offices in Portsmouth and surrounding areas. He deals with developments across the whole area and provides research, analysis and market commentary for many clients.

 

Bio on Nicola Davies

Nicola is head of the Property Litigation team.  Following a background in general litigation she specialises in resolving disputes related to property. Nicola regularly advises both commercial and
residential landlords and tenants on their leases/breach of terms; renewal or termination; rights of way /easements/covenants, adverse possession and injunctive proceedings.
Nicola is a solicitor advocate with higher rights of audience. This means she can represent clients in the senior courts throughout England and Wales.

 

Bio of Claire Long

Claire is partner in the Commercial Property department. She has over 19 years’ experience dealing with landlord and tenant, portfolio management, freehold and leasehold disposals and
acquisitions, and all other general commercial property matters (with a focus on retail, offices, nurseries, restaurants and warehouses).

Claire prides herself in providing practical and commercial advice to her clients in an efficient and pragmatic way.

 

Bio on Janay Jones

Janay is a solicitor in the Commercial Property department. She deals mainly with landlord and tenant transactions; freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals and general commercial
property work. Her main focus is on office, retail, hospitality and industrial/warehouse matters.

Janay enjoys working with a wide range of clients including individuals, independent businesses, as
well as larger, national brands and companies. She works hard to protect her clients’ commercial interests, whilst fostering constructive relationships to achieve efficient outcomes.

 

Bio on Lisa Busby

Lisa is a partner in the Commercial Property department with over 20 years’ experience in dealing with property matters. Lisa specialises in telecommunications code agreements and leases;
freehold and leasehold sales and purchases; commercial leases and renewals for both landlords and tenants; leasehold management documentation; portfolio acquisitions and disposals; organisation and management of property portfolios; pension fund investment; conditional contracts; and wayleaves and utility agreements.

Lisa has a broad range of clients ranging form private individuals to global companies, rural landowners, tenants, lenders and charitable establishments.
