Past Chairmens’ Christmas Lunch 2023

The Royal Maritime Hotel in Portsmouth was the venue for the 2023 Past Chairmen’s Christmas Lunch, an event that has been staged since 1990.  

16 former Chairmen attended including 11 “retired” members and David Nesbit qualified as the most senior Chairman having been in the chair in 1973.

Current committee members also attended and enjoyed the opportunity to meet former chairmen.

It was a wonderful occasion and chance to reminisce about the good old days. Conversations typically begin with …”do you remember when….”

A sumptuous 3 course meal was served with coffee and mince pies and members participated in the customary PPA Quiz with mixed levels of success!

David Nesbit brought along a fascinating selection of old auction catalogues and property particulars going back over many years involving his firm and other local firms that have now disappeared like King & King, Hall Pain & Foster and Percy Collett’s.
