PPA visit Fratton Park to Celebrate Pompey’s Promotion to the Championship.

As networking events go, this was rather special for the many Pompey fans amongst the PPA membership  as members and their guests visited Fratton Park following promotion as champions last week.

The superb timing of this PPA networking event could not have been better, giving members the opportunity to not only socialise and network, but also a behind the scenes Stadium Tour.

Greeted by Pompey CEO, Andy Cullen, members were given the latest update about ground improvements and plans for next season the Championship. The Division one trophy was available for a photo session before being added to the many trophies already held by Pompey that is the most successful club on the south coast.

Full English Breakfast was consumed in the Legends Lounge before members enjoyed a stadium tour conducted by avid fan and chair of Portsmouth History Society, Colin Farmery.  Highlights included the rich history of the club going back to 1898,  the impressive building façade, Hall of Fame wall, the loyalty of club legend Jimmy Dickinson and the impressive boardroom with trophy cabinet.

For those who didn’t know, PPA were shareholders when the club needed community support and this event will stay in the memory for some time cementing the ties between PPA and Portsmouth FC.

This networking and stadium tour was well attended, with limited numbers available due to tour capacity, this was a sell-out PPA event, and we were delighted that newer members also joined in today.
