Four Months In: 60 Acts of Kindness and Counting! An update from PS&B
“In celebration of PS&B’s 200th anniversary, The Blue Bombini Group set out on a meaningful mission to complete 200 Acts of Kindness across our group by the end of the year.
Founded in 1825 by Joseph Parsons as an auctioneer at 96 North Street in Brighton, PS&B has grown to become a trusted name in the South East of England, with offices in Brighton, Portsmouth and Bognor Regis.
Four months in, we’re proud to share that we’ve already completed 60 unique initiatives, and we’re on track to reach our target! This challenge isn’t just a celebration of PS&B’s legacy, it’s about giving back to the communities that have supported us for two centuries.
As you may have seen, we’ve partnered with four incredible local charities, each chosen to represent the areas where our offices are based:
- Phoenix Rehoming: Supporting animal rescue and rehoming in Portsmouth.
- My Sisters’ House CIO: Empowering women through support and services in Bognor Regis.
- The Clock Tower Sanctuary, Brighton: Helping young people experiencing homelessness in Brighton.
- St Barnabas House: Providing compassionate hospice care in Worthing.
Together, our teams at PS&B, Spratt & Son , Carr & Priddle , Lease X, Hive Client Accounts, and Hive Secretarial have come together to support these causes.
Here are a few things we have done so far:
- Monthly Donation Drives: Supplying essential goods to our chosen charities.
- Cake Sales in Every Office: A sweet way to raise funds and bring teams together.
- Volunteering Days: Supporting staff in giving their time to causes they care about.
- Beach Clean-Up: A big shoutout to Karen Baker FARLA and Joanne Chaudhry , who represented us at a local clean-up, helping to preserve our beautiful coastline.
- Marketing Support: Providing help to the charities with photography.
- Milk Bottle Top Collections: Each office is now collecting tops to be recycled at the end of the year, combining environmental care with community support.
- ‘Spin the Wheel to Win’ Easter Fundraiser: A fun-filled event that raised over £230 across all offices for our selected charities.
“This initiative is more than a campaign, it’s a reflection of who we are as a company. Giving back has always been part of our culture, but this year, we wanted to take it even further. Seeing our team come together with so much passion and generosity has been truly inspiring. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far and excited for what’s still to come.” – Michael Barber FRICS, Chief Operations Officer.
We’re excited to continue this journey throughout the rest of 2025. We have more initiatives planned, including planting a tree for every new starter this year and a Directors’ challenge.
Stay tuned for more updates, stories, and behind-the-scenes moments as we work our way to 200!”
